FIANT is an organization made
up of fire instructors and fire safety officers from
throughout the North Texas area. |

Since it's inception in the mid
1960s, FIANT has contributed to the educational growth
of the fire service in North Texas. It's emphasis
has been to promote professionalism and proficiency
in the fire service through education and the exchange
of information. |

We are governed
by an executive board consisting of a President, Vice-President,
Secretary, Treasurer and members who represent area
Fire Departments from across North Texas. |

President - Rob Franklin |
| |
Rob Franklin began
serving FIANT in January 2007 with the purpose to
continue the exceptional work of those before him.
He is a Captain with the Lancaster Fire Department
and currently serves as the Training Officer. Certifications
include: TCFP Instructor, Fire Officer, HazMat Technician;
and TDSHS Paramedic. His career began in 1999 and
he continues to be very compassionate about making
a difference in the lives of others, believing the
best way to do that in the fire service is to fight
complacency.

F.I.A.N.T. Vice President since January of 2006.
A member of the fire service for 19 years and currently
serving in the position of Training Chief with the Euless
Fire Department. Texas Commission on Fire Protection
certified Advanced Firefighter, Intermediate Instructor,
and Hazardous Materials Technician. Texas Department
of Health Services Certified Paramedic. TEEX Guest Instructor,
Annual Municipal Fire School,College Station. Pursuing
Associates Degree in Fire Service Administration.

F.I.A.N.T Secretary/Treasurer sinc January of 2006.
Started with the fire service in 1988, and currently
holds the position of Battalion Chief with DeSoto Fire
Rescue. Instructor for fire academy, EMT school, and
member of the DeSoto Fire Training Center staff. TCFP
certified Master Firefighter, Master Instructor, Driver/Operator-Pumper,
and Fire Officer II. TDH Licensed Paramedic. Associate
Degree in Arts and Sciences from Cedar Valley College.
Associate Degree in Fire Service Administration from
Weatherford College. Manages the F.I.A.N.T. Library,
and chairperson of F.I.A.N.T. Training Material Committee.
